Taken

The film started off relatively boring. But once everything moves into place, the action begins.
I love how Liam Neeson can portray a loser-ish retired father, and then a smart, cool, strong ex-CIA agent. Some parts might not be so realistic where he is able to take out all the bad guys single-handedly, but it's cool!

This has got to be one of my fav movies of the year! And now that I know there's gonna be a part 2, I can't wait!

Crossing Over

The context for this film is very American, hence more suitable if you're aware of the illegal immigrants situation in America. Some rather sensitive issues were explored in the film as well.

If you're looking for entertainment, then this is not the film for you. In fact, I would rather class this film as a drama-documentary. Drama, you can get it from Harrison Ford and his dilemma as an officer and as a human being. Documentary comes from the few short stories which made up the film. It showcased the different difficulties these people encountered, while trying to get their "green card".

Intriguing and certainly very educational, this film though is not a must-watch.
