Me & Gab after our games. It was nearly 12 midnight by the time we finished our games. I was hiding behind him because... he kept bragging that he was very tall.
Happy Birthday Gabriel~
The other day Gab celebrated his birthday... We went for the yummy crab dinner @ AMK, then went OCC for bowling. I haven't bowled in ages!

Book of the moment: The Whale Rider by Witi Ihimaera

It was a short read, but a fantastic one. I cried. There were a number of times where the simple love in the novel tugged at my heart and the tears just came easily. It was simple, touching, and impressing. I love it. When I finally finished reading, I felt melancholic somehow. I know there's a short film on it and I would love to lay my hands on them!

Wolverine
Movie of the moment: X-Men Origins: Wolverine

Expect lots of action, action and action! Plus lots of new characters, like Gambit (why wasn't he included in the usual X-Men movies anyway???), and lots of other super mutants!
This is rather typical X-Men, though the story revolves around Wolverine. Even the villians were quite cool!
The 107mins felt so much longer when you're so immersed in the film. My personal fav character has got to be Kayla, Wolverine's love interest. So pretty! And my personal fav villian is of course the most "undefeatable" dude, Deadpool, acted by Ryan Reynolds. Have you ever seen a cuter villian?

Brendan Fraser is at it again. He seem to be a hot favourite for casting as the adult in children's film. The plot was interesting, and I love it when they read the book out loud. It's like being encased in a magical story within a magical story! There were some funny scenes here and there. And also, there's my fav Paul Bettany putting on a wonderful show!

Cradle of Rome
Game of the moment: Cradle of Rome

I'm so addicted to this! Similar concept as bejewelled, it has an added strategy play in place. Everytime I'm just a little way from level up and then time runs out. So I have to replay the whole scene again, with random wild cards. I took it on myself to complete each level with as little use of the wild card as possible. It's quite a challenge!

姐的生日
Celebrated 姐's birthday which was on 12 Jan! We had a yummy steamboat buffet where surprisingly I didn't eat much! We even gave away our prawns & crabs to this big group of guys at the next table. Then we went to the same chill out bar we went to during Christmas coz she liked it so much there...
Tried something new~~~ Think Greg had this the last time we went drinking~ it wasn't too bad...

Omamori
ありがとねVinson!! When Vinson told me he's going Japan I was so envious! I asked him to get a pair of おまもりfor me and Mrこいびと. Even though Vinson is now stationed in Hong Kong with his wife, he took the trouble to remember my request, got me a matching pair, and mailed them to me from Hong Kong. How sweet!
